Fishing Report 7/29/13

(from Scallop Cove)

St joe bay fishing has slowed down some due to all of the fresh water runoff from the rain. The water is stained and dirty in most areas. If you can find the clearer water. Then that's where the fish are. Head north to the state park and you will have better luck. Trout, flounder, blue fish, Spanish mackerel, and an occasional pompano are being caught. Pearl white gulp on a jig head works great. Or the mirro-dine plugs have been getting some good bites. Focus on the clear sand holes on the edge of the grass in 4-6 feet of water.
